About the Speaker:

Debbie Wright is the Social Media Manager for The Wacoan.  Fueled by a love for digital storytelling and community engagement, she creates content that connects, inspires, and informs.  The WACOAN has been Waco's City Magazine since 2000.  Locally owned and published monthly for 25 years, they bring personal stories from the community, shopping, events and entertainment, neighborhoods and dining in print, digital, and across various social media platforms.  Bringing you the untold story where others leave off.    

Through her blogs and social media, Debbie highlights local culture, art, lifestyle, and travel - celebrating the people and places that make each community unique.  She also leads Cultivate Waco, a mobile-art initiative that brings pop-ups, creative workshops, and collaborative events to life.  In addition Debbie host the “Know Waco” podcast, where she shares vibrant conversations with local change-makers, and documents her travel stories through “Know Where”, a YouTube travel vlog.
